You can read more about it down below.
From The Press Release
Ruthless Pictures is in pre-production on the horror film Werewolf Rises, written and directed by B.C. Furtney, set to start filming in December 2013.
Produced by Jesse Baget under his Ruthless Pictures banner, Werewolf Rises tells the tale of Emma, a country girl who left for the big city, only to return years later with big problems. And when she returns to her childhood home deep in the Arkansas mountains for some well needed rest, relaxation, and soul searching, her problems have only just begun. A bloodthirsty werewolf emerges from the woods to lay siege to the area, ravaging anything in its path and revealing a sinister underworld that most never knew existed. With a full moon hanging over the area, Emma is plunged into a fight not only for her life, but for her very soul…
Of the project, writer/director B.C. Furteny says, “As a filmmaker, I’ve often dealt with and gravitated toward tales of people out of control, or individuals somehow navigating their world with highly questionable morals and actions. Werewolves are the logical progression of those themes, so when Jesse proposed the idea of doing a werewolf movie, I jumped at the opportunity. Several times in pre-production I wondered how it took this long for me to add my two cents to the genre, until I realized in many ways I’ve been telling werewolf stories all along. Only now we’re delivering the wolves. Big, bad wolves. And the blood – lots of it. This is gonna be a very red film, and I’m excited to work with Ruthless Pictures again.”
Ruthless Pictures is currently in post-production on the adventure-horror Day of the Mummy directed by Johnny Tabor and in pre-production on Damien Leone’s creature-clash horror Frankenstein vs. the Mummy.
I’ll be keeping a close eye on this film and will bring you any news as it comes, so keep it bookmarked here at Horror Society for all the latest!
