Due to the enormous success of Insidious Chapter 2, we all knew that another sequel would be forthcoming. We learned a few weeks ago that there would definitely be another sequel and today brings news of when that will be.
Our good friends over at Bloody Disgusting have learned that a release date of April 3rd, 2015 has been set for the third installment of the franchise.
Insidious: Chapter 3 will be written by Leigh Whannell who also wrote parts 1 & 2 and also starred as Specs in both previous films. Jason Blum and his Blumhouse Productions will be back to produce.
Rumor has it that Chapter 3 will bring back Lin Shaye’s character as well as both ghost hunters Specs and Tucker (All three pictured below). There’s no word yet if James Wan will return to direct, but I would suspect not.
