The SyFy network is developing a series adaptation of the classic Old English poem which features Beowulf and his fight with the monster Grendel. Beowulf has been featured in several previous adaptations, most recently in 2007 as a CGI animated film from Robert Zemekis. Read on for more details.
According to Deadline, Syfy has put in development Beowulf a drama series adaptation of the classic Old English epic poem that further examines the hero’s rise to power and his feud with the monster Grendel.
The series will be written by Matt Greenberg (1408) who will also executive produce along with Brian Hamilton, Michael Chechik, Andrew Cosby and Paulo de Oliveira.
