1979 – Brandon Routh, who played “Superman” in “Superman Returns.” He also starred in “Dylan Dog: Dead of Night” and appeared in “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.”

1964 – Producer/writer/director Guillermo del Toro, whose films include “The Orphanage,” “The Devil’s Backbone,” ” Hell Boy 1 & 2,” “Blade II” ,”Mimic”, and “Pacific Rim”.

1959 – Michael Paré who starred in the films “The Philadelphia Experiment,” the remake of “Village of the Damned,” ” Bloodrayne” and “Bad Moon.”

1958 – Producer Frank Mancuso Jr., whose films have included “Stigmata,” “Friday the 13th” parts 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, “Species,” “I Know Who Killed Me” and “April Fool’s Day” (2008).

1954 – Scott Bakula, who starred in the TV series’ “Quantum Leap” and “Enterprise” as well as the film “Lord of Illusion.”

1953 – Tony Shaloub, best known for playing the title role on the TV series “Monk.” He starred in the 2001 remake of “Thir13en Ghosts” and appeared in “Men In Black,” “Men In Black II” and “1408.”

1942 – Ken Foree, who appeared in the films “Dawn of the Dead,” “From Beyond,” “Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III,” Rob Zombie’s “Halloween,” “Brotherhood of Blood” and provided the voice of “Luke St.Luke” in Rob Zombie’s animated film “The Haunted World of El Superbeasto.”

1900 – Alastair Sim, best known for his portrayal of “Ebenezer Scrooge” in one of the finest filmed versions of “A Christmas Carol”.
