“Alex Russo, born in Ohio, started performing in her toddler years. A darling kid who could sing, dance, act, direct and write before she turned 10. Alex was cast in her first TV pilot called “Just Like A Family” in 2002. The pilot made it to Hollywood and was immediately recast. Alex went onto play the JD, Noel Kangle, in Emmy-Award winner Alex P. Micheal’s “Out of Darkness” TV pilot. As a young kid, Alex, stole the show in grade school plays such as Annie “Miss Hannigan” and Charlotte’s Web “Charlotte.” She also appeared on a few local commercials and numerous bridal/fashion shows. At age 17 she placed Honorable Mention in Cold Read and Sitcom in a category of over 400 girls her age at IMTA in Los Angeles.

She then got signed by a manager who works out of NY and LA. Alex packed her bags and headed to the city of angels at just 18 years old. In her year out in LA, she appeared in shows such as Reno 911 and Parental Control. She moved back from LA in 2009 to acquire a Bachelors degree from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike Ohio. Alex plans to acquire a masters and or PhD in Psychology, counseling or the related fields. From January 2011 through December 2012, Alex has produced or starred in 9 feature length films. All the films are seeking distribution. With 3 lead roles under her belt and 3 supporting roles, Alex can be considered an established independent film actress.

1. How did you get into the industry?

I started out many years ago as a kid. I didn’t have a stage parents, but I would drag my mom to a bunch of auditions and one thing lead to the next. I reached out to every outlet until someone gave me the chance to star in a feature film!

2. What Scream Queen inspired you most?

I do not have a favorite Scream Queen.

3. What are the next couple projects you are working on?

I am currently working on 7 feature films this fall, the biggest being “Cleanland” where I play Doris Kozori, and “Slashers Gone Wild 2” where I play Sweet Jane.

Other horror/sci-fi genre films include Forgive Me Father for I have Sinned (2012), Dying 2 Meet U (2012), Kandie Land (2013), Monongahela (2013), Maintenance Man (2014), Raw Focus (2014) and Ghost Walk: The Dawson War (2014).
