More possible casting news has come in for Universal’s new Dracula film, as Sarah Gadon is circling the film. Gadon is in talks to star in the film opposite Luke Evans. No word yet on what part she’ll play, but that will be forthcoming fairly soon.
According to Variety, After appearing in several David Cronenberg pics, Sarah Gadon is ready to be wooed by the Prince of Darkness.
Thesp is in negotiations for the female lead in Universal’s “Dracula” opposite “Fast & Furious 6″ star Luke Evans, with Gary Shore directing and Michael De Luca producing.
Universal has set an August 8, 2014 release.
The story is a mix of mythology and true history as it follows the story of Prince Vlad, the inspiration for the Dracula character popularized by the Bram Stoker novel.
Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote the latest draft of the script. Vice President of Production Anikah McLaren and Creative Executive Jay Polidoro will oversee the project for Universal.
