We ran across some news footage from the small Canadian town of Nanaimo, British Columbia which is home for the next week or so of a 300 plus person film crew for Legendary Pictures upcoming Godzilla film directed by Gareth Edwards. The local news footage shows some military might as they are mobilizing against the Big G. Watch the news footage down below.
Gareth Edwards will direct from a script by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham. Ken Watanabe will join previously cast Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Bryan Cranston, Richard T. Jones, Victor Rasuk, and Akira Takarada.
Godzilla is slated for a 3D release on May 16th, 2014.
