For all of you Stephen King fans out there, a television adaptation of his book Under the Dome has begun production in North Carolina today. Read on for more details.
The 13 episode Summer series is set to air June 24th, 2013 on CBS.

Production began Thursday, February 28th, in Wilmington, N.C., on “Under the Dome,” a new drama series based on Stephen King’s novel, CBS announced.
Niels Arden Oplev is helming the first episode of the show. Oplev directed the original Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
The CBS series he is working on is about a small town that is “suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by a massive transparent dome,” a synopsis said. It stars Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Dean Norris, Natalie Martinez, Britt Robertson, Alexander Koch, Colin Ford, Nicholas Strong, Jolene Purdy, and Aisha Hinds.
Plot Synopsis:
A small New England town suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away.
i was sooooooooooo excited about this since i picked this book up and hoped that someone who loves it would be in the production. now they have changed parts of the story added characters kept one alive that die :(, so i don’t hold my breathe for how this is gonna end. oh i will watch it to see it but i get my hopes up.
