Stephen King’s ‘Under the Dome’ Casts Dean Norris as Lead

Under the Dome imageJust yesterday we brought you casting news on the upcoming Summer mini-series adapted from the Stephen King novel Under the Dome.   Today we have some more casting excitement as Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris has been tapped to play another lead in the sci-fi drama.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris has been cast to play the leading role of Big Jim in the network’s sci-fi drama.  Norris will play Big Jim, the successful owner of Chester’s Mill’s used car dealership and a town councilman who takes his position seriously.

Norris joins a cast that includes Pan Am’s Mike Vogel, True Blood’s Aisha Hinds, Secret Circle’s Britt Robertson, CSI: NY’s Natalie Martinez, Jolene Purdy, Nicholas Strong, Alex Koch and Colin Ford.

Plot Synopsis:

A small New England town suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away.
