AXEMAN AT CUTTER’S CREEK

Independent Production Company Blood Red Films Announces Pre-production Of Feature Film, ‘AXEMAN AT CUTTER’S CREEK’, An ‘80’s Style Slasher To Be Shot In Angelus, CA, Just Outside Of Big Bear, CA This September.

Introducing the independent feature film, ‘AXEMAN AT CUTTER’S CREEK’, an ‘80’s style slasher film about nine vacationing twenty-somethings who are hunted down by an axe-wielding local legend.

Blood Red Films announced today that pre-production has begun on the film.  The announcement was made today by Joston Theney, Director and Writer for ‘AXEMAN AT CUTTER’S CREEK’, as well as one of the film’s producers.

“We’ve been in pre-production for sometime but now we’re heading into the meat of it, so to speak,” said Theney.  “I’ve been waiting sometime to do a film that is a true return to ‘80’s slashers.  Not the schlocky, hokey stuff with bad jokes and buckets of blood, but the truly unapologetic horror that explored the depths by which we could sink and ultimately redeem ourselves and our characters.  They were dark, they were gruesome, they were debauched and they were fun, but they were scary as hell.  And that definitely sums up AXEMAN AT CUTTER’S CREEK.”

‘AXEMAN AT CUTTER’S CREEK’ stars Elissa Dowling (BLACK DAHLIA), Tiffany Shepis (NIGHTMARE MAN), Brinke Stevens (SKELETON KEY), Ray Trickitt (LORD OF THE RINGS: TWO TOWERS) and Arielle Brachfeld (THE HAUNTING AT WHALEY HOUSE).  Rounding out the cast are Chantelle Albers, Jamie Bernadette, Erin Marie Hogan, Eliza Kiss, Dylan Hobbs, Stephen Eith, J. Scott, Carlos Javier Castillo, Paula Tracey Wilson and NBA superstar Scot Pollard as the Axeman.
