Camel Spiders is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on March 27, 2012. Camel Spiders was supposed to debut on SyFy some time ago, but I guess they’re going with this direct route. Either way, a movie about giant spiders is bound to make a couple of people feel the creepy-crawlies, even if they are CGI spiders! (Camel spiders are related to scorpions, not spiders, btw). In Camel Spiders, “A platoon of soldiers in the Middle East is terrorized by a gang of large, fast and deadly arachnids called Camel Spiders. This title is presented by iconic creature-feature producer Roger Corman (Attack of The Giant Leeches, Dinoshark). Camel Spiders is written and directed by Jim Wynorski (Chopping Mall, Cleavagefield), with J. Brad Wilke also on board as writer. It will star Brian Krause (Sleepwalkers, ‘Leo’ on “Charmed”), C. Thomas Howell (The Hitcher, The Hillside Strangler), Melissa Brasselle (Raptor), Michael Swan (Friday The 13th Part VI, ‘Duncan’ on “As The World Turns”), and scream queen Jessica Cameron (The Sleeper).
