“If it wasn’t for the internet Double Handsome Dragons – semi-instrumental electro post-rock group from the shitty land of Peterborough – and Lukasz Pytlik – director and movie editor from Poland – probably would never hook up. And it wasn’t long after he heard their awesome song “I saw a swan and it had your face” when Lukasz and Mitch of DHD talked about making a video for this great, energetic, blood-boiling gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEra-iRGri0.
Sinister and terse lyrics with a mix of great music make “I saw a swan..” a great song for a horror video-clip. In the middle of september we can expect to see a gloomy, phantasmagoric tale of a sleeping young boy facing his nightmares having its premiere on the internet and music channels. Hopefully, this clip we’ll set Double Handsome Dragons in the spotlight this amazing group deserves and – when it comes to horrors – it will pave the way for next scary movies being directed in Poland. The man behind the camera was Marek Sokolowski and let’s not forget about the one and only Maciej “Milord” Sokolowski – the man behind the sun (well, behind light really, but we all know that “men behind the sun” sounds a lot better!)

band info:
Double Handsome Dragons got together in 2005 as a group of friends, from the shitty land of Peterborough, who had played together in various bands since the beginning of time. The music is semi-instrumental electro post-rock with gritty guitars, ambient synths and strings, big drums and a variety of beeps and glitches. We’ve been making music most our lives and have played more gigs than anyone can count. Our live shows are pure energy and if we leave the stage without bleeding fingers and having lost half our body weight in sweat, then we haven’t done our job right. We’ve been building up our own studio over the last couple of years and now record and mix everything ourselves which gives us the freedom to piss about with our sound without time / cash restraints. We have a couple of E.P’s and 2 mini-albums under our belts, the last one was signed by US independent label Fluttery Records and received plenty of good reviews and (as yet) no shit ones! Here is a few of the things people had to say about us……
“Half-instrumental rock more akin to getting repeatedly punched in the ribs, but in the best way possible.” – No Ripcord
“Double Handsome Dragons are one of the big players to watch in the world of experimental indie rock.” – ytsejam
“a well-produced hell of a mix of sounds and tempos that could be the soundtrack for bi-polar disorder.” – Muzik Reviews”
