Quarantine 2: Terminal (2011)

A follow up to 2008’s Quarantine, this entry picks up later that night at LAX as passengers board a flight to Nashville. When a passenger becomes violently ill with a mysterious rabies-like virus, the plane makes an emergency landing at a large metropolitan airport. Jenny, a heroic yet inexperienced flight attendant, takes charge of the safety of her passengers. Relieved when a swarm of heavily quipped emergency vehicles,  police units and the CDC arrive, Jenny and the passengers soon discover that they have been quarantined and are now trapped.

Quarantine 2: Terminal is an action-packed roller coaster ride. And on an air plane to boot.Quarantine 2 is far better than the original, which is rare for a sequel, but since it’s been three years since the original, it seems everybody involved took their time to develop the story, plot, timing and delivery.

As with any sequel, it seems our victims haven’t quite learned their lesson. We have our ambitious scientist or researcher who is still hell bent on continuing their experiments exposing lots of unsuspecting victims to try to figure out what’s going on. And as usual, when the government steps in to try and contain the situation, things go from bad to worse in about 2.5 seconds. So whose there to take charge? Eventually all the passengers turn to inexperienced flight attendant Jenny who proves she really does have what it takes to lead them.

While Jenny is forced to remain calm and to take charge, Jenny does try to keep the passengers safe, but with a rabies-like virus, or should I say zombie-like virus spreading throughout the quarantine area, it soon becomes a fight for survival against the unknown virus and trigger happy CDC officials.

Quarantine 2: Terminal is an action-packed thriller. It’s fast-paced, intense, creepy, scary and fun. This one really reminds me of the first Resident Evil (RE) movie and as much as I love that series, Quarantine 2: Terminal may be better than the first RE movie and definitely better than the first Quarantine movie. This is a must see.
