The Molting Chapter 4 Review
Reviewed by: Maggie Roberge
The chaos continues in the Pryz
ind household. Trevor is still making trouble for the people he knows, and Susie is still quarreling with Abe to all hours of the night. In the middle of it all is Joe, still trying to cope with his hectic family and engaging in the familiar struggle tha
affects all teenagers: trying to define who he is, and figure out how to express himself. One of his teachers sees this and gives him a little help by suggesting that he enter an art contest. Things really get out of hand however, when the police show u
looking for Trevor, and Susie completely loses control.
In this issue, Terrance compares the frenzied 20th century lifestyle of Anaheim, California with the uncivilized and violent primitive world of the hunters of Gibraltar 45,000 years ago.
Terrance makes a very good point in this issue. While the hunters of Gibraltar mostly survived through their physical strength, what really helped them was their imaginations. In this latest chapter, there are still “lethal raids” like the ones in Gibral
ar. Terrance does an excellent job showing the parallels between them, and the “raids” of present day Anaheim, California in the issue.
