The Molting Chapter 3 Review
Reviewed by: Maggie Roberge
Life seems to be heating up for Joe and Trevor since the sexy and seductive Sandra has come into their lives (for Trevor more than Joe though). Sandra and Trevor get it together, while the cockroaches in the wall do the same. Later, Trevor helps break up an attack outside a late night diner. Meanwhile Joe still struggles to just live from day to day, since his brother is little to no help. Through it all, the cockroaches keep a watchful eye on the family, and even partake in some action of their own like what Trevor and Sandra are enjoying.
Terrance Zdunich’s unique and dark art style really help to bring out the dark and melancholy events in this chapter. Terrance has a really good eye for detail in his art, especially when it comes to drawing the cockroaches. The roaches play a bigger part in this issue, showing parallels between their behavior and the humans in the story. Even the title of this chapter has a connection to the roaches. Also, it’s apparent at the end that some pretty big changes for the Pryzkind family will be happening in the next issue.
Issue three is a good read, and can be purchased at www.themoltingcomic.com.
