A few cinema geeks and the owner of WildSideCinema.com have gotten together in order to pay tribute to the work of the late great Paul Naschy (Jacinto Molina). With the support and participation of Naschy’s own son and Naschy’s graphic novel illustrator, we’ll be putting together a magazine filled with articles, reviews, poems and artwork.
The list of people submitting work include Fangoria Comix artist Javier Trujillo, Spider-Man/Superman artist Neil Vokes, Videooze editor Bob Sargent, cult cinema expert David Zuzelo, filmmaker Keith Crocker of Wild Eye Releasing, graphic designer Brandon Voeller, the editors of Mad Mad Mad Mad Movies and more!
The tentative deadline for submissions is February 25th and all work is to be original (unless a reprint is arranged) and all work is based on donations (no pay). All work will receive full credit and each person that submits will be listed (along with their website) on a credits page for reader reference.
This is not a major project and it won’t be worldwide. We’ll be printing through Lulu’s POD service. This is a labor of love and a fond farewell to a great icon.
People interested in submitting can contact Brian Harris at: wildsidecinema@comcast.net
Let’s show the horror community that we care about more than scream queens, gore, and sparkling vampires.
