Riverdale Avenue Books to Publish “Gone with the Dead” Horror Romance Anthology

-Innovative Book Publisher Call for Essays to be Released May 2017-

The innovative hybrid publisher, Riverdale Avenue Books, in conjunction with Romantic Times, is putting together an anthology of short stories titled Gone with the Dead to be published, in both print and digital editions, at the RT Book Lovers Convention in Atlanta, Georgia May 2, 2017.

The concept for this anthology is horror meets romance, as Georgia is the home of both Margaret Mitchell’s Gone with the Wind and the shooting grounds for AMC’s The Walking Dead. Riverdale Avenue Books is looking for stories that range from romantic to terrifying that brings together horror and romance featuring everything from vampires, zombies, shifters, ghosts and anything in between. A Civil War setting is a plus, but not necessary.

This is a horror/romance anthology along the lines of Hungry for Your Love, which was the first zombie romance book published in 2007 by St. Martins Press and edited by Riverdale Avenue Books Publisher, Lori Perkins.

“I love the challenge and creativity of combining two genres like this,” said Publisher Lori Perkins. “And I LOVE Gone with the Wind and The Walking Dead. It just seemed like a natural mash-up to me.”

A digital copy of the book will be available to all Romantic Times attendees with a limited-edition code throughout the convention.

The stories should be a minimum of 1000 words, and a maximum of 5000. Please include a brief autobiography with your submission.

All submissions must be in by April 1, 2017 and sent to submissions@riverdaleavebooks.com.
