Apparently the farewell movie Roxsy & Me (2014) was more of a “farewell for now” instead of a “farewell forever” because rumor has it the beloved horror host played by Carmela Hayslett may be returning to the internet by 2017. Read on for exclusive details.
Incase you’re not from the East Coast, Roxsy Tyler is one of the most popular horror hosts and one based out of Pennsylvania. She is most known for playing the title character in web-series “Roxsy Tyler’s Carnival of Horrors,” which aired from 2010 to 2013 with the typical B-movie screening intermixed with zany skits format. The character spawned a feature length horror hosted special, Roxsy Tyler’s Carnival of Horrors: A Leech Named Basssant (2012) and she’s made cameos in titles like Sheriff Tom vs. The Zombies.
So far the “Untitled Roxsy Tyler Project” is only in development, with four scripts confirmed to have been finished and one or two of them introducing new characters to the world of Potent Media. It is currently unknown whether the show will be a similar format to the previous one or whether or not this project will go in a completely new direction. I can also confirm that Mr. Potent (Christian Jude Grillo) and Count Chuckula (Chuck Maher) will be reprising their roles, with Grillo also heading all of the technical departments.
If all things go as planned, “Untitled Roxsy Project” could go into principal photography around June with an expected release aimed for Early 2017. So let’s keep our fingers crossed that this goes from in development to in production! The circus rides again!
Carmela Hayslett is an award winning actress who can also be found in Apocalypse Kiss, Blood Slaughter Massacre, Deer Crossing and Reichsfuhrer-SS.
