- 1963 – Rosanna Arquette, who starred in the TV movie “The Dark Secret of Harvest Home” and the films “Fait Accompli” and “Amazon Women on the Moon.”
- 1960 – Antonio Banderas, who starred in the films “Interview With a Vampire,” “The 13th Warrior” and “The Mask of Zorro.” He also provided the voice of “Puss “N” Boots” in the sequels to “Shrek.”
- 1939 – British beauty Kate O’Mara, appeared in the Hammer films “The Horror of Frankenstein”, “Vampire Lovers” and “Night Creatures.”
- 1918 – Martin Benson, who has appeared in the films “Gorgo,” “The Cosmic Monsters,” “The Omen,” and as “Martin Solo” in “Goldfinger.”
- 1914 – Jeff Corey, who appeared in the films “Superman and the Mole Men,” “In Cold Blood,” “The Boston Strangler” and as the “Crypt Keeper” in “Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man.”
- 1913 – Famed character actor Noah Beery Jr. He appeared in the films “The Cat Creeps,” “Rocketship X-M” and “The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao.”
- 1912 – Wilbur Stark, father of Koo, who was executive producer of such films as the 1982 version of “The Thing” and producer of “Vampire Circus.” He passed away a day after his 81st birthday on August 11, 1995.
- 1910 – Mae Clarke, who portrayed “Elizabeth” in the one and only original version of “Frankenstein.”
- 1908 – Alexander D “Arcy, who appeared in the films “Horrors of Spider Island” and “Blood of Dracula’s Castle.”
- 1902 – Writer Curt Siodmak, who created the legend of the “Wolf Man.” His numerous screenplays include “The Invisible Man Returns,” “Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man,” “Son of Dracula,” “Creature With the Atom Brain” & “Earth vs. the Flying Saucers.” He also directed the films “Bride of the Gorilla,” “Curucu, Beast of the Amazon.”
- 1898 – Jack Haley who played the “Tin Man” in “The Wizard of Oz.”
