As you all know, “Scream: The TV Series” is debuting on MTV on June 30th and the cable television show will feature none of the original characters, locations or the Ghostface mask.
In hopes of hyping up anticipation for the show, executives behind the fledgling series created by Wes Craven have given Entertainment Weekly the first look at the new Ghostface mask that fans will see in a few weeks.
Jill Blotevogel is quoted as saying, “It evokes some of the Jason hockey mask and the white Michael Myers mask, but it’s still first and foremost evocative of the Scream mask. It’s sort of a reinvention while also paying homage.”
Wes Craven adds, “The new mask is cool and scary and takes the series into a new direction. It also ties into the story, which I won’t give away.”
What are your opinions on the new Ghostface mask? I can see the resemblance, but I’m not sure if I’m sold… Comment here, on Facebook or on Twitter and let me know your thoughts!
The mask will definitely take some getting used to. I’m mixed on the feel of it, but it can work.
