Judith Jackson, or Judi Jai as she is more popularly known, is often hailed as one of the funniest reality television stars of all time. She burst onto the “unscripted television” scene in 2011 as one of the cast members on Oxygen’s #1 show “Bad Girls Club” during its seventh season. Since then she has become a staple on the network and appeared on spin off shows including “Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too,” “Bad Girls Club: All Stars” and “Bad Girls Club: Redemption.” Known for her drunken antics, personal growth, witty banter and lovable personality, Judi was also able to make her name into a brand after her trademark declaration of, “I got the voodoo for you, bitches!”
Opening her own independent store, Judi released a line of candles, shot glasses, t-shirts and life size voodoo dolls all inspired by the Creo culture she was raised around. Now, Judith is going forward in a more professional venture by releasing her debut novel, Fou: Til Death Do Us Part. Jackson co-wrote the story with Angel Williams (The Baltimore Crime Family, Pretty Money) and it is set to hit Amazon Kindle on June 11, 2015 for $7.99. I know that may seem a little pricey, but I need to mention that all proceeds from the book sales will go directly to lung cancer awareness and research, a disease that has personally affected Jackson’s life.
Fou: Til Death Do Us Part is a romantic drama with elements of horror and science fiction thrown in. Taking place in the swamps of Louisiana, Fou follows two best friends – Abella and Summer – in a place where black magic and supernatural occurrences are the norm. And did I mention that the girls have the power of telekinesis and other untapped potential? After the murder of one of their friends, Abella and Summer set out to unmask the killer themselves. Inadvertantly they end up finding lovers of their own, but at what cost? Remember, always be careful what you wish for. When you uncover the truth, you never know what you’ll find!
