I was searching through YouTube last night, looking for a good short film to share with readers. I stumbled upon The Orchard, and I’m glad that I did. The Orchard is only seven minutes long but it’s good. I mean, really good. If I had to describe it, I’d say it’s a mix of Scream, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and The Grudge set against the backdrop of Halloween in a creepy forest. If something like that would interest you, click the video below!
The Orchard is written and directed by Jacob Souza and Noah Goldberg. Cast members include Andrew Cheesman, Julia Marson, Chrissie Ford and Forrest Sprague. The film follows, “A group of high schoolers are coming back from a Halloween party when their car breaks down.” I’d also like to mention that I hope the film’s creators turn it into a feature length movie in the future. I think it would be killer.
