ryanmRyan Merriman was born in April of 1983 in the state of Oklahoma. At the age of ten he began working in print, theater, and various television commercials. He got his first big break when he landed a small role in The Deep End of the Ocean. Around the same time, he also finished up his long running stint on “The Pretender” from 1996 – 2000.

After finishing a guest spot on “Touched By An Angel,” Ryan found himself in a supporting role in Halloween: Resurrection (2002). In the feature film, Ryan plays the character of Myles Barton/Decker. Myles is a pen pal of the film’s lead character, Sara Moyer. When Sara is cast in a reality show that puts contestants in haunted places – in this case, Michael Myer’s house – he tunes in and is horrified to discover that the murders are real and not a case of television magic. Through text messages, he is able to help Sara outwit Michael Myers, since he is able to see where Michael is at all times by subscribing to the show’s feeds. When Michael is stopped at the end of the film, Myles is held as a hero and is credited for saving Sara’s life.

Fast forward a few years later and Merriman’s career really started to take off. He booked a guest spot on “Smallville,” followed by a supporting role in The Ring II (2005) and a lead role in The Final Destination 3 (2006). He continued acting, officially growing out of child-stardom, with his next credits including Backwoods (2008) and the comedy Wild Cherry.

So, where is Ryan Merriman now?

While he continued to act well into the new millennium, his most noteworthy credits began with Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader (2012), a guest spot on “Hawaii 5-0,” and the mockbuster Independence Daysaster (2013). He can currently be seen on tween-drama mystery, “Pretty Little Liars,” a recurring role he’s held for four years.
