By now I’ve admitted several times that I am a movie poster/DVD cover art whore. I have to look at the movie poster or DVD cover art before I can become interested enough to even watch the trailer. One day, I believe that there will be a movie poster rehab that I can go to. I’ll spend 70 days in a high treatment facility, and come out scott free of my poster loving addiction… Until then I’m going to indulge in the new Camp Massacre poster!
Originally Camp Massacre was known as Fat Chance. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. It had a few high profile screenings and even won an award for “Best Horror/Comedy” at the Dark Zone Film Festival. After several name changes, and landing a good distribution deal, Fat Chance is now moving forward as Camp Massacre. I, personally, think this was a smart movie for a variety of reasons including that Camp Massacre is sure to draw in fans of slashers like Sleepaway Camp and Caesar & Otto’s Summer Camp Massacre.
ITN Distribution has officially picked up Camp Massacre and is eyeing an early 2015 release date for this title. I’m sure that the new movie poster release is a first look at a lot of great things to come.
Camp Massacre is written and directed by Daniel Emery Taylor along with Jim O’Rear. The duo formerly collaborated on buzzworthy, psychologically damaging The Hospital. Jim O’Rear will also star as Warren W. Gilley alongside Bree Olsen, “WWE” Superstar Al Snow, Scott Tepperman, Dick Warlock, T.J. Moreschi, Nicholas Huntsman, Megan Hunt, Carl Donovan, Ava Cronin, G. Larry Butler, Shawn C. Phillips, Mindy Hylton, Daniel Emery Taylor, and many more!
“It’s THE BIGGEST LOSER meets FRIDAY THE 13TH. Ten obese men appear on a competitive reality show geared toward weight-loss. As the competition grows more intense the contestants realize they are losing more than just weight; they are losing competitors. Are the contestants dropping out voluntarily or is something more insidious going on? Will they survive? Fat chance.”
