A follow-up to my June 2013 article.
Well, at least she can brag that she’s the most famous woman in the penitentiary.
Shannon Guess Richardson, a wannabe actress who appeared as a background extra in The Blind Side, “The Vampire Diaries,” and “The Walking Dead,” has been sentenced to 18 years in a federal prison. Back in June of 2013, Shannon laced several letters with the highly toxic substance known as ricin. The mail receivers? Only President Obama, former NY mayor Michael Bloomberg, and his executive in gun-control Mark Glaze. The letters were intercepted in the nick of time and, due to the FBI or CIA being involved, Ms. Guess was taken into custody shortly there-after.
All charges against her husband, Veteran Nathaniel Richardson, have been dropped. Initially, Shannon tried to thwart her own arrest by blaming the would-be assassination attempts on her husband. The couple, who have one child together, are currently in the midst of divorce.
On July 16, 2014 a Texas judge ruled against Ms. Guess and sentenced her to 18 years in prison, three more years than she was expected to receive. This is a fair return of prosecution and indictment, even though the 36-year-old actress had entered a plea bargain. Just goes to show you can’t try to kill the president and New York mayor without getting a lot of years behind bars.
Guess is quoted as saying, “I never intended for anyone to get hurt.” Yeah, sure… Whatever you say, Shannon. Don’t drop the soap!
