The upcoming indie werewolf thriller Autumn Moon has decided to unveil the look of it’s extremely menacing practical FX werewolf design. The film from Skylar Phoenix Productions has lensed its opening werewolf attack scene which they intend to use as a teaser for securing the additional financing needed to finish the movie. Autumn Moon is being made by an extremely talented group of indie filmmakers led by director Randy R. Fabert who previously helmed the critically acclaimed Psycho Killer.
The opening werewolf attack scene will be released as soon as the filmmakers are finished with last minute post production and then it will be used as part of the fundraising campaign.
Fabert himself stated that he hopes Autumn Moon will be “the most violent werewolf movie ever made.” Fabert, a fan of great werewolf films such as (An American Werewolf in London, The Howling, and The Wolf Man), says he wanted to make an old school werewolf film but update it to be extremely violent and gory. He feels that co-writer Michael Spivey and himself have captured the extreme violence a werewolf would cause. Autumn Moon will not feature the same cheesy CGI werewolves that you have come to expect from other werewolf films of late, this will be an old school monster movie where the beast is an actor in a werewolf suit.
The screenplay was written by Michael Spivey and Randy Fabert from an original story by Randy Fabert. It is produced by Randy Fabert, Thomas Humbach, Michael Spivey, Terrance Huff and Co-producers are Richard Aughpin and Sheila Mudd Baker.
The werewolf make-up effects will be created by Fabert’s Makeup EFX Studio. The Director of Photography is Terrance Huff and Philip Jones will be handling the film’s sound design.
The cast includes: Bill Oberst Jr.(Children of Sorrow, Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies), Lynn Lowry (Shivers, Cat People), Timothy Waldrip (Kiss of the Vampire, 21 Jump Street), Joe Kidd (That’s What She Said), Nathaniel Grauwelman (Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies), Iabou Windimere (Psycho Killer, Sidney), Jocelyn Tanis (The Medal), Larry Combs, Gerri Sutyak (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Sonny Burnette (Zombies R Friends), Richard Aughpin (Dragoon, Sidney), and Randy Fabert (Psycho Killer).
