1. How did you get into the industry?

I have been acting since I was a kid. First role, Dorothy, Wizard of Oz, fifth grade. That is still my favorite film. Yeah, not much of a singer but ya know I still can belt out “If I only had a brain”! I did stage acting for the longest time, still love it. Film has opened up widely in Ohio and all through-out the Mid-West so it was a natural move for me. I witnessed a lot of people making films, right here in Ohio. Good stuff. I could not give my stage up but was intrigued by film. Funny, but it was about time…. no time for rehearsal for film but stage all you did was get to the theatre and rehearse, which I love, but you have to make money. Yes, so I get married to lessen the burden perhaps? Yes, my husband loves Grindhouse films! Jesus, I didn’t even know what they were until he introduced me to them. Lovely, he loves all I do…. especially when there are bizarre events like most of the films I do lately. Fucking fun! So here I am making films, all kinds of wonderful, crazy, bloody films! I do miss the stage, a lot.

2. What Scream Queen inspired you most?

I don’t really have one but I love the scary bitches, Bette Davis, Shelley Winters, but I really love the classic ladies and the funny ladies, Kate Hepburn, Lucille Ball, Gilda Radner, Ellen Burstyn, and the list goes on and on. Horror kinda found me when I was looking for something more to add on to my list of projects. When you are an actor you just have to act. I was very fortunate and hooked up with Patrick Desmond and the Muscle Wolf guys and they made me find my inner creepy and we just had so much fun improvising. I do want to say I fucking adore Dee Wallace. I have had the most wonderful experience working with the incredible Debbie Rochon. Worked with lovely ladies like the up-coming Kaylee Williams and Ellie Church. Farmer’s Daughters features Ellie along with hottie Brigid Macaulay and sizzling Angela Denton.

3. What are the next couple projects you are working on?

Next projects? I have been working with a new director. He likes to test me as an actor. It’s great, but not fun! I shot a sweet fantasy not long ago here on my farm. Worked with a upcoming film maker, director. Nice. We will be shooting more of the anthology that Farmer’s Daughters is a part of “Closed Casket”, Side FX. It will be crazy, wacky. The trailer will be shown with our screening of Farmer’s Daughters, Sept. 14, 9:00pm, at Scarefest in Lexington, KY. I also am planning on shooting a wild black comedy next summer with a good buddy of mine. Things keep a rolling on!
