San Diego-based D & J Films announces that the forthcoming horror feature “Ghostline” is officially in pre-production. The script was written by Dean Whitney, who will also direct.
“Ghostline” is the chilling tale of a young couple who are terrorized via a ghostline—a line from which one can make phone calls without having a specific number—by a deranged woman who mistakenly believes that Tyler’s her ex-boyfriend.

Casting and location scouting are currently underway, and principal photography is slated for the Spring of 2013. The entire film will be shot in the San Diego area.
D & J Films is the brainchild of screenwriter and former music producer Dean Whitney and his wife, Judy, who, as a child actress, appeared in such films as Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” & “Marnie”, “Spartacus” (with Kirk Douglas), “The Errand Boy” (with Jerry Lewis), and numerous TV shows.
Dean recently wrote, produced, and directed the horror short, “The Body Bag”, which is currently being submitted to film festivals, and optioned his screenplay “The Final Table” to Strong Image Films in Las Vegas.
