You are a mother, wife, actor, and writer how do find the time to balance it all out?
Time? What’s that? LOL. One thing is for sure, there are not enough hours in a day. Balancing everything can sometimes be tricky, but I manage to pull off one hell of a balancing act (perhaps I should be in the circus instead). Seriously though, it is tough, but we manage pretty well. I am fortunate to have a very supportive husband and my kids are wonderful. I never put them on the back burner, and always include them in what I’m doing. My kids and hubby really love the whole film bit, so it’s fun for them. My husband and two of my children act, so it’s family fun!
You are also the official model for MicroShock. com, how did that come about?
That all come about when “Chris Seaver” of Low Budget Pictures started the micro-shock. com web site, and was searching for writers etc for the site. I inquired about the position and Chris and I corresponded via email and well:..I was welcomed aboard Micro-Shock. The modeling idea was an idea that Andrew Shearer, Chris Seaver, hubby and myself came up with. I did a photo shoot for it (LBP style of coarse) and everyone loved what we came up with and thus:..I became the micro-shock spokes model too.
From there things have just grew and I now have my own hostess bit / show on micro-shock. com. All the folks there are awesome, super talented and my kind of people, so things are going well. One hell of a kick ass group of people, who share the same interests and goofiness as I do. It’s all about indie films, B cheese and promoting indie films, film makers, actors, actresses and so much more! I’m having a blast there! Thanks for plugging micro-shock by the way:much appreciated!
Do you have any vices that you just can’t live without? Mine is always Chocolate
Hmmmm, I have a few actually, yes they may seem abnormal, but hell I’m NOT normal so it’s to be expected, ha ha.
1. horror, I love horror
2. indie films:.love those too!
3. being silly
4. my family
5. weapons/ tools:I love things like hatchets, chainsaws, butcher knives, meat cleavers:.you know the usual psycho bitch tools. Not that I am one, but I play one in a movie, LOL. I have to blame my girl Chainsaw Sally for the chainsaw obsession, lol.
I call them my unhealthy obsessions. My kids always try to keep me out of the tool department at the stores, cause they know what will happen, LOL. See, I told you they were not your NORMAL vices!
What’s your favorite scary movie and why?
I have so many! Do I have to name just one? I’d have to say “Night Of the living Dead”.
with Texas Chainsaw Massacre coming in a damn close second and I of coarse love:..Silent Hill (I know it’s mainstream), but I always loved the games and when they made the games into a movie it was like a Silent Hill wet dream for me!
What part of the year do you enjoy the most? What season do you look forward to the most?
My favorite season is spring, but my favorite holiday is Halloween! I’m like a stalker when Halloween rolls around (waiting outside the stores for them to put their Halloween merch out).
You are totally not into nudity or baring your body, is it because your morals or standards are higher than that?
It’s just something personal for me. I honestly feel that you don’t have to flash your body to get a part in a film. Those who truly have talent don’t have to do that. Don’t get me wrong, I know women who have great talent and still do nudity, and I’m not knocking it one bit:.more power to them. But for me, it’s just a personal preference not to. Besides, I have children and out of respect for them, my husband and myself:.I don’t bare the goods.
Who is you favorite band? Or the best show you have ever been to?
My favorite band is “HIM” and a band in the UK called “NG26. I never got the chance to see either band live, but would love to!
If you could pull a Freaky Friday and switch places with anyone for the day, who would it be?
I know this sounds way weird, but I’d have to say I’d trade places with my hubby, just to see how annoying I really am and how miserable it must be living with me, LOL. Either that or some mega millionaire so I could write myself a big ol check! just kidding.
Is there a scream queen or woman in the horror industry whom you admire and look up to?
I have a few favorites, but I’m going to have to say “April Monique Burril” aka “CHAINSAW SALLY” . She’s my idol. She has been a huge inspiration to me and I love her uniqueness and her style! A truly sweet and inspiring woman.
Are you planning on doing anything horror related in the near future?
OH YES:DEFINITELY. Actually I already have some big things in the works. One being a film that hubby and I are writing (and even filming a teaser trailer for now) called “IZZY BORDEN” starring me as a serial killer/vigilante of sorts. And there’s more stuff coming but I cannot say too much about it yet. I’m a gore hound, so horror is always on my projects list. And I’m always open for new projects.
Thanks so much for the interview Angry Princess!
All my blood and gore:.
