Saw IV, released in the United States on October 26, is the latest installment in the LionsGate horror film series. During Halloween weekend, it led the box office with a gross total of $32.1 million and the Disney film, Dan in Real Life, landed in second place pulling in only $12.1 million.

Bousman, a 2002 film graduate of Full Sail (www.fullsail.com), entered into the film industry by writing short horror films and to date, has directed independent films such as Butterfly (2000) and Identity Lost (2001). Bousman relocated to California after graduation and began his work as a freelance director for The Firm, a Beverly Hills based Management Company. In 2004, he wrote the script, The Desperate, and soon after was introduced to Twisted Pictures producers, Greg Hoffman, Mark Burg, and Owen Koules and together they worked on Bousman’s consecutive smash hits Saw II, III, and IV.

Currently, Bousman is working on Repo! The Genetic Opera, which is planned to be released later in 2008 and the film Wichita, which is being produced by Twisted Pictures and Dimension Films.
