Trailer: 1408…might be OK?

Sunday June 24th 2007, 5:56 pm by DrGore

1408 200706191112The only demons in room 1408 are those within you. Renowned horror novelist Mike Enslin (Cusack) only believes what he can see with his own two eyes. After a string of bestsellers discrediting paranormal events in the most infamous haunted houses and graveyards around the world, he scoffs at the concept of an afterlife.

Enslin’s phantom-free run of long and lonely nights is about to change forever when he checks into suite 1408 of the notorious Dolphin Hotel for his latest project, “Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms.” Defying the warnings of the hotel manager (Jackson), the author is the first person in years to stay in the reputedly haunted room.

Another bestseller may be imminent, but like all Stephen King heroes, Enslin must go from skeptic to true believer - and ultimately survive the night.

REVIEW: Ice From the Sun

ICE FROM THE SUN:
Depravity. Hostility. Insanity. And other acts of God.

Review by: AngryPrincess

ifts-sleeveThis has to be one of the oddest movies I have seen thus far in my movie reviewing career.

“Ice From The Sun” from Eric Stanze is like this biblical, almost mythical story. A wizard named Ambolin created a world surrounded by ice, another dimension for him and his apprentice known as The Presence to rule over and play God.

The more humans The Presence killed the more stronger and powerful he’d become. He was then shunned from the angels above and the demons below- he was so nasty he had his own realm.

REVIEW: Cyn

Cyn review by AngryPrincess

cyn

It starts with a desperate looking woman tied up held hostage by two men as they chat about how she is the bait that will bring forth who they are really after. You get the feeling that this desperate girl is fucked as she sits their waiting her demise with lips quivering in fear.

Alex Ferrari’s “Cyn” was amazing to watch and considering it is only 5 minutes long, it is jam-packed with everything you could ever ask for, even having characters that seem already at home with the viewers. As Otto and Jesse wait patiently “Cyn” suddenly turns the tables on them by out smarting the one and then she wipes up the floor with the other guy effortlessly.

REVIEW: The Great American Snuff Film

The Great American Snuff Film
Review by: AngryPrincess
grone

I have been reviewing some really nasty movies lately, and by nasty I mean all were women being tortured and raped except “I Spit On Your Corpse I Piss On Your Grave” which actually had actress Emily Haak doing the raping. “The Great American Snuff Film” isn’t too much different with “William Grone”, a serial killer who with the help of his partner “Roy” kidnap two girls with the intentions of making a snuff film over a period of two days but ends up going on for almost a week.

“William” is a cold hearted woman hater whose anger stems from being abandoned by his whore mother. He enjoys inflicting pain on others and gets off on their facial expressions, the pleading, and how they struggle as he tortures and beats them. He shoots his footage on a 8 mm camera because he says it makes the horrible images more pure. “Grone” is very excited to start on the girls but says he must make himself make so the climax will be better.

Saw 4 done shooting

Monday June 11th 2007, 10:48 pm by DrGore

sawWhat looks to be the only successful horror franchise at the moment (box office wise) has apparently just wrapped production on its latest entry, and entered the editing phase.

Over on his MySpace blog, director Darren Lynn Bousman proclaims, “Saw IV shot - and onto editing!!! HELL YEAH!!!!” Based on all the capital letters and exclamation points, I take it the dude is just a tad excited about the whole thing. And why wouldn’t he be?

After helping kick-start this whole “torture phase” that the horror genre has been in as of late, it’s the only franchise still alive and capable of making a killing at the box office.

So much so that most horror flicks now have to steer clear of Halloween (the holiday) because they’re afraid Saw (insert number here) will demolish them. Could this be why Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween is coming out on, um, August 31? Probably.

REVIEW: Satans Cannibal Holocaust

Monday June 11th 2007, 11:12 am by DrGore

boxReview by Angry Princess

I was actually nervous as I put this DVD in. “Satan’s Cannibal Holocaust” is a SRS film and that means things will be pushed to the limits and very extreme. This one was sort of tame compared to the others I have watched but then I realized this was made by a different director.

“Kelly,” a wannabe reporter is working on a story about how much the mayor (who just so happens to be her dad) has been helping their city keep crime rates and unemployment low. Everyone commends him for that and how he has been aiding the homeless by feeding them at set up soup kitchens.

You watch as “Kelly” travels around downtown talking to the bums until she comes across the informative “Old Larry.” “Larry” is a middle aged man who lives on the streets, he is the one who knows all about what goes on within the homeless circle. He tells “Kelly” that there is a cult that worships Satan who have been kidnapping the bums to use in their rituals…their cannibals.

REVIEW: I SPIT ON YOUR CORPSE I PISS ON YOUR GRAVE

Sunday June 10th 2007, 9:52 am by DrGore

ispitI SPIT ON YOUR CORPSE I PISS ON YOUR GRAVE - AN ERIC STANZE film

Revenge is just the beginning for her…

Synopsis: Sandy has stumbled onto a lair of torture and humiliation. She was abducted and brought to this pit of pain as the next intended victim. But Sandy overthrows her captor and kills him. Does she release the other prisoners? Does she call the police? No. Her mind snaps and she assumes control over the prisoners, taking them as her own playtoys. Naked bodies writhe in ecstasy as blood runs down the walls in this chilling tale of madness and revenge. I SPIT ON YOUR CORPSE, I PISS ON YOUR GRAVE is a swirl of insanity, a carnival of carnage, a festival of filth, and an onslaught of sleaze!

Review by AngryPrincess:
“Eric Stanze” has out did himself with this one. With “I Spit On Your Corpse I Piss On Your Grave” He pushes all types of limits and shows you things most other people wouldn’t dream of putting in their films. Each minute that played would lead onto something more disgusting then the previous situation. It all starts when Sandy’s ex boyfriend “Kevin” escapes prison and asks her to meet him which she stupidly does and winds up being taken to a house where she has this surprise in the basement courtesy of “Kevin.” Sandy kills Kevin in self defense and then snaps losing her mind.
