banshee logoBuffalo NY, (PRWEB) February 23, 2007 Buffalo Nickel Productions LLC (Emil J. Novak) and Nightmare Kinetics (Mike Bohatch) have aligned to produce a feature horror film. The film, titled “Banshee” is being shot at the Buffalo Central Terminal, a miraculous gothic structure, built using Art Deco designs. With a 5-story arched ceiling and an octagonal 17-floor tower, it is ideal for this production, which is employing German expressionism into this film.

Director / Writer, Emil Novak says: “I have been involved with this great structure in the past, and one of the things that I have always noticed is that nobody has taken advantage of what the structure has to offer. I told Mike Bohatch that we seriously needed to exploit it’s beauty to the maximum. And that is exactly what we plan on doing.”

Novak continues: “With so many levels of darkened hallways and spooky stairwells, we really look forward shooting at the Terminal. And to show the beauty it once possessed during its heyday of the 1940s.”

Buffalo Nickel Productions LLC specializes in feature horror movies for the Domestic, Foreign and far Eastern home entertainment markets. Their first film, “Tesla The Accumulator” was shot on location in the Buffalo and the .Niagara Frontier of New York State. With their partner, Nightmare Kinetics, who specializes in movie title design, motion graphics and digital effects for the horror genre; the movie will be a tour de force in today’s market.

Mike Bohatch has been named Co-director & Director of Special FX.

Mike adds: “This film’s presentation will be a unique blend of old school and new school with a menagerie of characters and supernatural entities and a strong emphasis on classic scares!”

Banshee Special Effects team “Gray Effects”, the very creative team of David Gray and Shawn Flahive have been signed on for this new production. These two are simply top notch with their approach toward special effects in today’s horror field. With an established background in Halloween show designing and FX, concert rigging, and theatrical experience; their ‘in-camera’ effects work tremendously well with digital post production special effects.”

This film is scheduled for a Fall 2007 DVD release
