Looks like there is more casting news from the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween. Bringin back a fellow co-worker from The Devils Rejects… Ken Foree (and more notably from Dawn of the Dead) is playing the role of a truck driver named Big Joe Grizzley in the new film. Zombie has built somewhat of a reputaion for taking old slasher themes from the 70's and trying to re-work them into modern day horror movies.
Although House of 1000 Corpses was a great homage to that type of film, to me Devils Rejects was a little more than a modern day western. Taking more from old Italian Westerns than old horror movies, I hope Zombie doesnt screw up his rendition of Halloween.
Im sure this will be a good flick none the less, but hopefully he makes more of a tribute to the film rather than trying to make another music video out of it. So far with the cast of the new remake, it looks promising.
