Just a few weeks into the new year and the plans for more and some re-releases are in the works from most of your favorite labels. Anchor Bay is going to continue with their Masters of Horror series and hopefully wont have to wait on any banned shows this year. The 25th anniversary of Hooper’s Poltergeist is due this year from them as well.

Onto one of my personal favorite companies, Synapse Films. Released at the end of 2006 was Synapse’s new special edition of William Lustig’s Maniac Cop. Starring Bruce Campbell and Shaft himself, Richard Roundtree, anyone who missed the age-old Elite Entertaiment edition should order this gem, which only just slots into the horror genre, preferring to sit in the action camp for the most part.

Dark Sky Films have confirmed Prayer Beads, Kill, Baby, Kill and Jess Franco’s Count Dracula on their website as well.

Along with these are plenty more to hit the shelves this year, as well as plenty and almost too many new indie releases to mention here. One of which will be The White Lie from Ron DeCaro, and Jon Price’s Demntia is now available and has been placed in the Top 10 films of the year be a couple of notable websites.
