Yep, one of the originators (some say the first and las) of the Midnight Movies, El Topo will be released on DVD sometime in 2007. This along with some other films from Alejandro Jodorowsky (“The Holy Mountain,” and “Fando Y Lis.”) will be restored and released in the first quater of 2007. 

Alejandro Jodorowsky is considered the Father of the Midnight Movie and he is working closely with ABKCO Films to get his classics released on DVD.

ABKCO Films is currently working with Alejandro Jodorowsky to restore the films “El Topo,” “The Holy Mountain,” and “Fando Y Lis.”  The films will be released on DVD in the US in the first quarter of 2007.  Until I have a firm release date, I am unable to supply any further details.  However; we will let you know via email and you may check our website, www.abkcofilms.com, periodically for additional information.
