| Looks like the the Independent Spirt Award nominees are in and although this is not really horror related, it does deserve some attention. There are several movies here that I personally have seen and would love for them to win. Bubble was one of the most original and moving films I have seen in a while and the director broke ground for releasing the movie in theaters and on DVD at the same time.
The Spirit Awards celebrate indie movies, original content and ideas by showing that there is more than just big names and big money in the film industry.
The Independent Spirit Awards (currently in its 22nd year) will be held on February 24, and broadcasted live on IFC. Check out the full list of nominees below….
